At the end of the work day on October 6, Mini-Circuits members flocked to Funfest Bar & Lounge, a family operated bowling alley with a full-service snack bar near the Brooklyn offices for a fun night of bowling, snacks and friendly competition. As one of the most popular company outings revived after the pandemic, over fifty members attended the event to enjoy quality time with friends and coworkers.
Participants assembled their own teams from three to five people to compete for victory. Alongside the competition, team members enjoyed complementary food and drinks including chicken wings, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, pizza, and a variety of other options.
At the end of the night, Michael Gonsavos from Mini-Circuits’ receiving department won a trophy for the highest score.

“We had a great time together cheering each other on,” said Rose Morgan, Incoming Materials Manager and Michael’s teammate. “Our team member Mike is always the top scorer on bowling night, and it’s fun and a challenge trying to keep up with him. The goal is to beat him one day!”

Rose also suggests that in the future, it would be great to have a top male winner and top female winner to give the ladies some time in the spotlight as well. Overall, the event was a major success providing members with a fun source of physical activity and a chance to get to know new members of the Mini-Circuits community.
“One of the best parts of bowling night is spending time with fellow members who are also good friends for a long time,” said Kashif Akhter, New Product Introduction Planner/Buyer. “It’s a good way to remember that we aren’t just working hard at Mini-Circuits, but that we are friends who stay in touch even after work hours. Work doesn’t feel like work when you are comfortable with the people around you.”
Events like this are one way Mini-Circuits brings its team together to forge not just business relationships, but friendships as well. Bowling night has become one of many beloved traditions that give members the opportunity to connect outside the workplace, and part of what makes the company feel more like family.
