Mini-Circuits continues to be a top supplier to renowned companies that move the world forward, most recently exemplified by awards from three key customers.
“Our purpose isn’t necessarily to win awards, but to provide products and services that meet our longstanding quality policy,” said Arthur Ackerman, Mini-Circuits’ VP of Quality Assurance. “Still, it’s always nice to be recognized.”
The first nod comes from British aerospace and defense manufacturer BAE Systems, which gave Mini-Circuits a Silver Medalist Supplier award at its March 2022 virtual Partner2Win Supplier Symposium and Awards.
“We have high demands of our suppliers,” Kim Cadorette, Vice President, Operations at BAE Systems Electronic Systems, wrote in the event program. “The problems we solve are difficult, and we require excellence from our suppliers if we are to get our products where they need to be – out in the field with our customers.”
Just a month later in April, Mini-Circuits received a letter from test and measurement equipment manufacturer Rohde & Schwarz, addressed to Mini-Circuits President Ted Heil, informing us of our Preferred Supplier status for 2022 and into 2023. Rohde & Schwarz granted us Preferred Supplier status based on the score we achieved in their supplier management program.
Then, in May, we received a separate letter from Raytheon Technologies subsidiary Collins Aerospace informing us that we had earned a Premier Award for performance in 2021 and overall excellence in Business Management/Customer Service and Collaboration.
The Premier Award is an annual recognition platform under the Raytheon Technologies Performance+ Program to recognize suppliers with superior performance and that have provided exceptional value to
Raytheon Technologies in one of the four key categories: Cost Competitiveness, Technology & Innovation, Business Management/Customer Service and Collaboration.
“Raytheon Technologies leadership would like to thank you and your team for the hard work and dedication required to be recognized as a Premier Award recipient,” the letter said. “Your commitment to performance excellence is greatly appreciated. It enables results for customers worldwide and solidifies a platform for our continued mutual success.”
In Mini-Circuits’ workplace where countless awards are prominently displayed throughout the halls, Ackerman noted that it’s easy to—but important not to—overlook them. “They remind us of our accomplishments while also inspiring us to keep going for higher goals,” he said. “It’s more challenging than ever to meet and exceed requirements, particularly in the areas of logistics and on-time delivery during the pandemic.”
Ackerman added that BAE and Rohde & Schwarz are extremely demanding customers, making the awards all the more satisfying. Rohde & Schwarz was one of the first customers to visit Mini-Circuits’ facilities after pandemic restrictions were lifted. Meanwhile, the equally discerning Collins Aerospace (formerly Rockwell Collins) has been a legacy customer of Mini-Circuits for over 40 years, epitomizing the ideal customer-supplier relationship. Mini-Circuits’ late founder Harvey Kaylie previously served on Rockwell Collins’ Supplier Advisory Council.
“Awards give us confirmation that our quality policy is effective,” Ackerman reiterated. “But again, we must keep aiming higher, not only with our biggest customers, but across the board with all customers, to show why we’re award-worthy.”
