On April 24, Mini-Circuits members gathered in the atrium of the Knapp St. office to celebrate the retirement of Bonnie Voycik from the Brooklyn-based sales team. A 27-year veteran of the company, Bonnie is a veteran account manager who’s provided exemplary support to some of the company’s key accounts, and a beloved friend to the many people she’s grown close to in her time here.

In his remarks before the traditional cutting-of-cake, Sales Manager Jim Silsbe said he considers Bonnie a friend more than anything. “We sat together for twenty years,” said Silsbe. “We used to get in trouble for talking too much.”

Bonnie conveyed similar sentiments reflecting on her time with Mini-Circuits to those gathered. “When you work with people every day, you get to know them,” she said. “You know their spouses and their kids and grandkids. You celebrate when their children are born. You’re there for them when their parents pass away.”

For Bonnie, it was the small moments of connection that mattered most. She remembers the shuttle ride to and from the train station as a welcome opportunity to catch up with coworkers and laugh. When she used to walk to work, she remembers the people who offered her a ride home. “That’s what I’ll take with me,” she said.

It was Bonnie’s place in the community as much as her service to customers and the company that Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Paul Wilson was referring to when he said of Bonnie, “You truly represent the Mini-Circuits way at its best.”

That community isn’t only local, either. As Bonnie worked with many accounts in the EMEA region, she collaborated closely with her counterparts at the Mini-Circuits Europe (MCE) office in the U.K. While the MCE team couldn’t be in Brooklyn that day for cake, they were sure to send their heartfelt remarks for delivery by proxy – testament to the long reach of the warmth and professionalism Bonnie brought to work every day.

The Mini-Circuits family wishes Bonnie Voycik a very happy and well-deserved retirement!
