Mini-Circuits provides products and solutions to many big-name customers. These companies look to us for top-of-the-line solutions for their systems as well as their testing needs. This means our products and services must be reliable, durable, and innovative. Our Test Solutions Team at the Neptune Avenue facility in Brooklyn, New York knows a thing or two about putting customer needs first, and doing so with quality at the forefront of their work. With orders coming in constantly, the team is always working quickly and efficiently to ensure all orders are sent to customers on time.
The Test Solutions Assembly team is made up of three employees who are responsible for the assembly of all production orders for test solutions products. These products consist of a matrix of switches within a box, each type with a different configuration depending on the needs and requirements of the customer. Often times, these boxes can be ordered with custom configurations and requirements, and each assembly project comes with its own unique challenges to which the team must adapt.
As the assembly team of the Test Solutions department, these members efficiently mount mechanical switches into the panels of the boxes, mount the motherboards/PC boards for power distribution, and create the chassis for each box.
During the assembly process, the team works closely with the Test Solutions design engineers who create the product drawings that consist of assembly instructions. This includes how to assemble each product and the materials needed in the assembly run. The team often goes through multiple iterations of a build, especially new products, before coming to the final configuration to either fit a customer’s specific needs or to adjust models for better performance.
After a model is assembled, it goes into the testing side of the Test Solutions department. This is meant to work out the last issues that can arise once the products are put under stress. This results in a lot of collaboration of the assembly team with the design and test teams to create the perfect product, reflecting on the strong sense of team work the Test Solutions department possesses.
The Test Solutions assembly team is working toward many goals for the rest of 2024 and looking forward to 2025. The biggest of these goals is the recent expansion to our store room, and packing it out with materials in an organized manner to ensure that assembly and picking materials goes as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
The team has a fully-packed year ahead, but these talented members are up for the challenge and are always willing to make improvements. As the Mini-Circuits mantra goes, we are looking for continuous improvement, and the Test Solutions assembly team exemplifies a willingness to grow and to work effectively with other teams and members to bring our customers the best possible test solutions products.
