The summer months are fast approaching, and with the warmer weather, Mini-Circuits members at our Brooklyn headquarters look forward to a favorite outdoor pastime. As a long-standing sponsor of the Brooklyn Cyclones, Brooklyn’s own minor league baseball team and High-A affiliate of the New York Mets, the company offers team members and their families free tickets to attend home games throughout the season. Games are held at MCU Stadium in the heart of the Coney Island boardwalk where the famous rides at Luna Park can be seen from the stands, making it one of the most unique settings in all of sports.
Mini-Circuits has sponsored the Cyclones since the club’s inaugural season in 2001, showing pride for our Brooklyn heritage. With the exception of 2020 when the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mini-Circuits has sponsored the team for 22 consecutive years. Tickets are a hot commodity, and you’re just as likely to see Mini-Circuits members at any given Cyclones game as our iconic blue logo on game programs, signage in the outfield and on the LED jumbotron.
“I have attended several Cyclones games. I usually go with my husband and sometimes my sister or nephews and their spouses,” says Ann Scocozzo who works in sales and customer support. “I really enjoy the energy in the park. It’s so much fun to get caught up in the excitement. I think it’s very generous of Mini-Circuits to offer these tickets to their members.”
Michael Gonsavos in Receiving Incoming Inspection makes it a boardwalk outing with friends who come from New Jersey and Long Island to join him at the Cyclones games. “We all have a relaxing evening, usually after going to Roll N Roaster or Nathan’s for dinner after a hard day of work,” he says.
The Cyclones are High-A affiliates of the New York Mets, and MCU Stadium has seen many well-known Mets players in action on their way up to the majors. The Cyclones are a source of pride and accessible entertainment in the borough and beyond, attracting high turnouts on summer nights all season long.
