On November 20, Mini-Circuits members at the Deer Park location in Long Island, New York gathered at the cafeteria for a smorgasbord of food inspired by the many nationalities at our company. The gathering featured sweet and savory foods from around the world including chicken biryani, chili, flautas de pollo, roasted turkey, seafood paella, flan, cherry cake, and apple pie to name a few.

Deer Park members were free to mingle with their coworkers and enjoy tasty food inspired by the nationalities of their fellow colleagues including Venezuela, Mexico, Peru, Bangladesh, USA, Pakistan, Myanmar and many more. A favorite dish among attendees were the chicken biryani and the chicken lasagna, and there was plenty of both to go around.

The whole event was organized by the Deer Park team, to bring everyone together and create life-long bonds between coworkers while enjoying something that brings people from all over the world together: food.

“My favorite thing about this event was that the celebrating and sharing of diverse aspects of our cultures adds another layer of richness to the team dynamic,” said Nabil Mahmood, Senior Warehouse Manager at Deer Park. “It’s a testament to the importance of fostering a workplace culture that values collaboration, communication and mutual respect. Events like these can contribute significantly to team morale, motivation, and a sense of belonging. They create opportunities for team members to connect on a personal level, fostering relationships that extend beyond the workplace.”

It’s safe to say that everyone had a good time at the event and ate their fill of tasty, international food prepared by their own team members. We look forward to what next years’ celebration brings!
