On November 5, 2024, Mini-Circuits attended the annual Interlligent Seminar. This event is held by one of our valued customers, Interlligent, to bring Engineers from the industry and academia together to share knowledge and insights from the field. Many attending companies set up booths to show demos and advertise for their upcoming projects and latest products, but the main focus of the event was to give presenters the opportunity to talk about various topics pertaining to the RF and microwave industry. Each day of the event dealt with different aspects of RF engineering ranging from system design, to component design, to general lessons on optimizing production and test processes.
At the seminar, Mini-Circuits’ RF Design Engineer, William Yu had the privilege to share his own presentation with the Interlligent Seminar community. The topic Yu presented on was about Mini-Circuits’ latest innovations in LTCC design, specifically our BFHK and BFHKI series high rejection filters. His presentation covered the overall capabilities of these filters along with how our customers can implement these products into their systems for better performance. Attending the seminar along with Yu to represent Mini-Circuits were Lee Whiting (Test Solutions Sales Manager – EMEA) and Peter Gray (Field Sales Engineer) from our facility in Surrey, U.K., Mini-Circuits Europe (MCE). Whiting and Gray set up a small booth at the event showcasing Mini-Circuits’ test equipment.
After Yu’s presentation, he had several engineers approach him showing interest in Mini-Circuits high rejection LTCC filters. Some simply had technical questions about these products and their capabilities, while others had questions related to purchasing the components. In addition, our booth of test equipment also attracted a lot of positive attention.
Attending the seminar was a great opportunity for exposure to current and new customers, as well as direct access to many influential individuals in the RF and microwave field. Mini-Circuits has grown drastically in its design capabilities and attending events like this allows us to show the industry what we’re capable of and how we can bring our own innovative ideas to the table.
“I think it’s great that I was able to help spread the word that Mini-Circuits is a leader in RF technology, not just a distributor, but as designers as well,” said William Yu. “Presenting something technical like this in front of a large audience is, admittedly, not something I’m used to, but it was a great experience. I’m happy that I was able to share something that I’ve been working on for a long time, and speaking about these filters came very naturally.”
Overall, the experience and exposure that Mini-Circuits and the attending members received was positive and full of knowledge sharing. Our engineers received a lot of positive feedback about both our LTCC filters and test solutions demonstrations with many conversations offering fruitful relationships for future business. Mini-Circuits enjoyed attending the event, and looks forward to seeing what the next one has to offer.
