Mini-Circuits Japan showcased cutting-edge RF and microwave solutions at the 2024 Microwave Workshop & Exhibition (MWE), held annually at the Pacifico Center in Yokohama, Japan. This year’s theme, “Challenges of Microwave Technologies Toward Sustainable Society,” provided a platform for exploring innovative applications in high-speed communication, wireless power transfer, high-resolution sensing, and more.

MWE is the premier microwave industry event in Japan, drawing participants from private enterprises, research institutions, and academia. In 2024, the exhibition featured 132 exhibitors, including Mini-Circuits’ two Japanese rep-distributors, M-RF and Mini-Circuits Yokohama (MCY).

The MCY booth garnered significant interest, attracting 5,039 visitors—an impressive 12% increase compared to 2023. Visitors were particularly drawn to Mini-Circuits’ millimeter wave products, which operate up to 110 GHz, and appreciated the opportunity to engage directly with Mini-Circuits representatives for feedback and discussions.

Interactive demonstrations at both the M-RF and MCY booths further captivated attendees. Highlights included the RF Energy (RFE) product line and portable test equipment (PTE). The 8-way, 8 kW 2.4-2.5 GHz ISM band combiner (COM-2G42G58K0+), known for its ultra-low insertion loss, stood out as a crowd favorite. Additionally, the debut of Mini-Circuits’ 110 GHz adapters and terminators was a breakthrough for many attendees, who were unaware of Mini-Circuits’ capabilities over 100 GHz.

The teams distributed branded giveaways, including calipers, loupes, and mechanical pencils, alongside brochures, datasheets, and application notes in both Japanese and English. A Japanese voiceover video featuring Mini-Circuits’ RF energy combiners played at both booths.

MWE 2024 enabled Mini-Circuits Japan and its partners to strengthen their presence in the Asia-Pacific region, build relationships with new and existing customers, and highlight innovative solutions for the RF and microwave industries. With its continued commitment to advancing technology for a sustainable future, Mini-Circuits remains a trusted partner for customers and collaborators in Japan and beyond.
