On August 17, the Mini-Circuits team spent an evening at MCU Park in Coney Island to enjoy a hometown ball game while the summer months and warm weather are still in full swing. Attendees watched the game play out between our sponsored local team, the Brooklyn Cyclones and the Hudson Valley Renegades for a night of entertainment, good company and tasty food. The picnic also doubled as a graduation party for our latest class of Pipeline Engineers who successfully completed the program!

Once on site before the game, members listened to a welcome speech from Mini-Circuits’ new CEO Jin Bains, as well as a speech from President Ted Heil congratulating the current Pipeline graduates. The graduating Pipeliners, Abtahi Manzur, Dana Gan, and Jack Langner were also given a brief ceremony recognizing their completion of the program. Prior to the ballgame, attendees enjoyed games including giant Jenga, Connect 4, Uno, and cornhole, as well as raffles and Mini-Circuits swag.

As the game commenced, the Mini-Circuits team enjoyed hotdogs, burgers, sausage and peppers, chips, pasta, soft drinks as well as vegetarian and kosher options. For dessert, members treated themselves to ice cream bars, cookies and soft pretzels.

Energy was high and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves to the fullest, as this was the first post-COVID company picnic where all New York locations (Neptune, Knapp and Deer Park) had the opportunity to come together and share the experience at an off-site location.

It was a close game, but ultimately the Hudson Valley Renegades won by a single run (6 to 5). Although our home team didn’t come out victorious, it didn’t dampen members’ spirits. To top off the evening, raffle winners were announced.

The raffle winners won an assortment of tech and kitchen gadgets including an Insignia 50” 4K UHD Fire TV, a smartwatch, a Ninja Foodi 5-in-1, and a large quart crock pot. Our raffle winners included Jack Langner, Joshua Libin, Jacqueline Matos, Irena Arkhangelskaya, Kathleen Thai, Elkhan Meirov and Ishmael DeFreitas.

Mini-Circuits members had a great night out with good food, company and entertainment. We’re already looking forward to what next year’s picnic has in store!
