The Nijmegen Four Days Marches once again proved why it is one of the world’s most remarkable walking events. This year, more than 47,000 participants from 77 countries came together to take on the challenge, creating an unforgettable atmosphere of determination, friendship, and celebration.
For me, this year’s edition was especially memorable because I had the opportunity to participate with my son for the first time. Over four days, we experienced it all: the long distances, the physical challenges, the moments of laughter, and the incredible encouragement from spectators along the route. It was a unique experience to share this journey together and witness firsthand how the event brings people of all ages and backgrounds together.

The Nijmegen Four Days Marches is much more than a walking event. It is a celebration of perseverance, community, and international connection. Walking side by side with my son made this experience even more meaningful, creating memories that we will both cherish for many years to come.
As the final day came to an end and we crossed the finish line together, we carried home not only our medals but also a sense of pride, accomplishment, and countless unforgettable moments from an extraordinary week.
